Supapedal Ultra FES — Active passive trainer

Active-passive trainer with FES

  • Stroke
  • Neurological rehab
  • Orthopaedic
  • Upper and lower limb
  • Spinal cord injury
  • Clinic and home

The Supapedal Ultra FES extends the Supapedal Ultra platform with functional electrical stimulation (FES) to support coordinated muscle activation alongside motor-assisted and user-driven exercise. Multiple training modes—including passive, active, assistive, active+passive combination, and isokinetic—allow programmes to match ability from early mobilisation to strength rebuilding. With adjustable speed, resistance grades, programmable session times, and dual-function arm and leg training (including adjustable upper-limb angles), the Ultra FES is suited to neurological, orthopaedic, and mobility-related rehabilitation where FES is part of the care plan. Ideal for hospitals, physiotherapy clinics, and home rehabilitation under appropriate clinical guidance.

Modes: Passive, active, assistive, active+passive combination, isokinetic training, and FES-assisted protocols per clinical setup.

Training and modes

  • FES with motor-assisted training

Combine functional electrical stimulation with passive and active modes so sessions can support muscle activation timing alongside pedalling or cranking work.

  • Multiple training modes

Passive, active, assistive (the machine supports weak muscle effort), active+passive combination, and isokinetic (constant speed training)—so programmes can match ability from early mobilisation to strength rebuilding.

  • Speed, resistance, and time

Speed range ~5–60 rpm, resistance grades 1–12, and programmable session duration from 1–99 minutes for precise, personalised sessions.

  • Arms and legs

Dual-function design for upper and lower limbs, with adjustable rotation angles for the upper limbs to suit positioning and reach.

Safety and support

  • Controlled, consistent therapy

Motor-assisted modes support patients with limited strength while adjustable angles and timing help sessions stay within tolerance.

  • Stable use in clinic or home

Intended for safe, repeatable exercise in hospitals, physiotherapy clinics, and home rehabilitation settings.

Using the equipment

  • Programmable sessions

Set duration from 1–99 minutes to match treatment plans and patient endurance.

  • Adjustable upper limb setup

Rotation 0°–180° and 90° flip angle support comfortable alignment for arm work alongside leg pedalling.

Applications

  • Hospitals and physiotherapy clinics
  • Home rehabilitation programmes
  • Neurological and orthopaedic conditions
  • Mobility-related rehabilitation
  • Upper and lower limb recovery and maintenance

Benefits

  • Improves muscle strength and endurance
  • Restores joint mobility
  • Reduces stiffness and spasms
  • Enhances blood circulation
  • Helps prevent complications from immobility (e.g. clots, swelling)
